One of the great things about the web is being able to analyze the habits of site visitors then adjust and adapt to create the best experience for them (and the most profitable for you). In the case of online stores, you can scrutinize your checkout process, see where you are actually losing customers in that process, then use that data to solve the problem (we did and it worked).
